4G arrives in India, The Airtel has launched 4G services first in kolkata


The India was waiting for 4G from a long time, and we have also covered many stories related to airtel launching 4G in India previously, but now it is finally here.
Airtel today official launched its 4G service on a TD-LTE, making India one of the first countries in the world to commercially deploy this cutting-edge technology.The 4G will be more powerful and faster than 2G and 3G and it will also offer services such as high-definition mobile TV and video conferencing.
Airtel’s 4G (TD-LTE) network was launched by Mr. Kapil Sibal, Hon’ble Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. Kapil Sibbal also admitted that 3G service is not good in India.
The service will soon to be rolled out in Bangalore.
Airtel will offer 4G-LTE services over a wide range of devices including airtel 4G-LTE USB modem (Huawei E392) and airtel 4G LTE Indoor Wireless Gateway (Huawei B593). With Airtel 4G-LTE you can use mobile internet with bandwidth up to 40Mbps

Airtel also announces the tariff plans for 4G-LTE, available for both prepaid and postpaid users:-

Introductory offer for postpaid users: 
Breakfree 999 users will get Rs. 167/bill discount on first 6 bills.
Breakfree 1399 users will get Rs. 466/bill discount on first 6 bills.
Breakfree  1999 users will get Rs. 666/bill discount on first 6 bills.
As we come to know SmartByte will be available for postpaid customers of Airtel 4G, that means you can add extra data on your package anytime to continue your 4G experience. Additional charge for smartbyte will be added on your bill. Also your 4G number can be added to your Airtel mobile or landline/broadband postpaid bill – One bill for 4G, mobile, landline & broadband.
Important points of Airtel 4G :-
  1. In order to enjoy 4G services, you need a 4G USIM card.
  2. You will require a 4G enabled device & airtel 4G network to enjoy airtel 4G services.
  3. All packs will work on both on USB Modem and 4G enabled indoor wi- fi device.
  4. You cannot recharge a data pack with another data pack till previous balance is above 500MB.
The cost of the 4G USIM  will be Rs. 49 and airtel 4G dongle will be priced at Rs7999 indoor wifi CPE @ Rs. 7750.

Micromax Launches ‘FunBook’ Android 4.0 ICS Tablet For Rs.6499


India’s Mobile Phone maker Micromax today achieved another milestone by launching Android 4.0 ICS based low cost Tablet FunBook for Rs.6499.
Micromax Funbook Tab sports a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor, Dual Mali-400 2D/3D GPU, a 7-inch Capacitive Touch Screen which has a resolution of 800×480 pixels and comes with multi-touch, Pinch to Zoom features. It has 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, WiFi, a front facing 0.3 megapixel camera, HDMI port, a full USB port with 3G dongle support, a mini USB port,a micro SD card slot and 2800 mAh Battery.
Micromax also offering interactive course material for CBSE ranging from class 1 till class 12th on a 4GB MicroSD card for Rs. 799. So learning would be fun with the animated videos, diagrams and pictorial representation where applicable.

HCL announces new ME U1 and MyEdu Android 4.0 tablets in India

HCL has introduced two new tablets in the Indian market and both of them run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The both tablets came under affordable range and cost around the Rs. 10,000 price segment.
ME U1 and My Edu sport same hardware but the MyEdu tablet will have various educational softwares, apps and other material as it is aimed for educational purposes.
The tablet will feature a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, a 7-inch capacitive display (800×480 pixels), 4GB of internal memory, a front facing camera, Wi-Fi, a USB port and a mini USB port, a micro SD card slot, a 3600 mAh battery and supports 3G dongles.
The ME U1 version will be priced at Rs. 7,999 and will come with free content worth Rs. 3,000 courtesy Hungama (free unlimited downloads for three months), Cleartrip.com (Discounts on Air Tickets), and Think Free Office. Some of the pre loaded applications including 3D Digital Weather Clock, Cleartrip, ME Apps, HCL Touch, Hungama, ibibo Ibrowser, LinkedIn, Moneycontrol, Ninja Run, Twitter, Naukri among others.
